Hi everyone!! I just got a call from our son that he admitted our daughter-inlaw to the maternity ward at the local hospital...
So I think there will be a Bouncing baby boy borne today.. his middle name will be "Ryder" {I think his first name should be "Midnight" LOL}
Please keep some happy thoughts for Nancy as she has her "Labor Day" a couple of days early!!

Best of luck and an easy delivery for Nancy. Freddie you do need to tell her to make it today, bad enough I have to share my birthday with one crazed person (and most of us know who this is).

Well I have a semi problem this morning, to cruise or not to cruise. My father had invited Sue and myself on a cruise in early Jan. We had originally said no, but now that I have a job we are rethinking that decision. Now you can imagine my opinion on cruise ships, but Sue really, really want's to go. She has been working lots of extra hours in the last year to pick up the slack. So a cruising I will go, may God have mercy on my soul.

To put some more icing on the cake, here's the ship's itinerary. Some highlights, three full days at sea and my favorite 5 hours in Cozumel, 5 stinking hours. Not even enough time for a two tanker.

Nancy, good luck! Fredster, keep us posted!

Cecil, moi???? Hey, go for the cruise. The one I went on with my mom was absolutely fantastic. You will have a great time even though you won't get a 2 tanker in Coz...maybe a 1 tanker??? Michael and I still want to do the Alaska cruise...so relax and take it all in:-)

It could be worse, this is at least one step up from a week in Iraq (although I've heard the diving is good and cheap).

On the job front, looks like a week from Monday will be the day.

On the diving front, Art and myself did a night dive last night at the Nubble. Very interesting experience. There was some serious surf at the beach but the cove at the light was fairly calm. We started out slight left of center, but once we were out a ways the surge got bad, the visibility dropped, the water got a lot colder and I was stressing about stumbling on to Lobstazilla (the 25#'er that lives in the area). So we headed back into the cove and hung out in shallows and a sandy bottom.

A very nice 45 minute, 55 degree, 10' visibility dive. Here's a few shots.

Cecil, I like the lobsta:-) Congrats on starting a week from Monday, that is just fantastic, will give you time to get your "working clothes" in order:-)

So, are you doing anything special tomorrow????

Just got a call from Kelly. John Kerry is in Newark Ohio today, and he was looking for folks that were out of jobs. Her friend Tina's brother in law just lost his, so they picked him to interview. So Kelly and Steph got to go, around 50 people she said, CNN was there...John Glen was there...and Kerry shook Steph's hand then gave her a hug...I asked Kelly if Steph was excited, she said that it's like she just ate a pound of sugar...can't shut up! Very cool for a 16 year old me thinks...Kelly was quite excited as well:-)

Cynde, Stephanie called me a little while ago and she was VERY excited on the phone. Stephanie said Kelly took a couple pictures of her. One is her being escorted by secret service to go meet him. What a awesome experience for her, and it will make a great story to tell the grandkids someday!

I sent Kelly an e-mail asking her to get me a copy of the pictures so I can put them in Stephanie's creative memories album. I hope she puts them on a disk too so we can all see!!

Cecil,

As I read it, you arrive Cozumel 7am but leave at midnight, not noon. Time for 2-tanker, yes?

Bob says congratulations on the job!
:-)

To Lisa and Steph and all -- very exciting!

Thank you Niki, you're right (I hope). Yes, that does make a difference. OK, it might be just bearable. More so, if we get to Miami a day early and I catch a two tanker the morning of the cruise.

Thanks Bob.

Cynde tomorrow's plans are fluid, Sue is lost in Buffalo. She went up to help out with her father who had major surgery (Colin cancer, nothing minor). He's doing fine and looks like it was a slow grower (fingers crossed). He came out of surgery within an hour of me getting the call about the job.

I'll probably wander down to the Nubble and sleeze a dive. Then hang out with Tipsy.
