i remember that manhatten beach peir, at the end of manhaten beach blvd, was alawys a good time. if memory serves me there was a kickin' jaz bar called the firehouse, i think. i'll see if i can find out more on that.

Cynde - Happy birthday. The QM is fantastic, our room was all wood and art deco fittings. Our taxi driver was crazy I think he drove at 90mph most of the way.

Brain, welcome to LA...hee hee! They all drive that way, as does everyone else...still nada compared to Puerto Rico drivers! I spent the night on her back in the early 80's, and Michael and I went up one day a couple years ago and toured her and had dinner at the nice restaruant on the top
