Of course my job right now is to feed and water doggies and kitties, and play with them! It's almost noon, and I haven't left Jake and Lindas yet today... can't leave the critters they are too cute! Except for the bird who keeps pecking at me ! lol

Life is good here. Sun is shining, great breeze on the back patio, and a large glass of ice water awaits.

Hope everyone is fine. Barbara, I am ready for you now!!! Yoo Hoo!!! [insert Bob Barker voice here] BARBARA LEARY COME ON DOWNNNNN !!!

Such a tough life, Kelly...but someone has to do it! LOL. Sounds like you are having a great time....how could you not! LOL. Will you be able to take any pics of the frogfish? I hope not too many folks will head in their direction and force them to move on....they are so hard to find.

Have a wonderful afternoon with the critters, Kelly! Carole

Carole, I was unable to bring my underwater camera due to weight restrictions on Bonaire Exel... but Mary was taking some pics of them so hopefully some of hers turn out! One is pink and one is purple. They are soooo cool to watch.

I went to Bongos for a few hours, to lay in the sun and swim a bit. Not diving today as my back has been hurting a little... giving it a rest today. I stopped by Cultimara (Warehouse was closed, wahhh) and picked up some goodies and came back to Casa Richter, didn't want to leave the animals alone long, they are used to having activity in the house most of the day so now I will sit on the patio and have my watermelon.

Hope all is well !

I promised not to peek back in but...leaving here in a couple of hours for the airport...Kelly can you here Harry Belafonte singing "I'm on my way, I'm going to stay, I won't be in Sac for many a day, my heart is up not down, my head is spinning around I'm going to meet my little Kelly in Kralendijk town"...a little word revision was necessary there but I swear I could hear the steel guitar! :-)

Barbara you kill me!!! Yes I can hear it !!

It won't be long now my new dive buddy.... in just 24 short hours we will be sitting around chatting like old friends....

Safe travels to you and Alison. XOXOX

Carole, this was one of the best days I have ever had on Bonaire. Lots of me time, lots of animal time, and dinner alone at Casablanca... doesn't get much better than that. ;)

Hey incidentally I checked out the new bar at Divi, the one that is right beside the dive shop.
They have the foundation in, and seem to be working diligently, and when I asked when it will be finished, (I can't remember his name, wasn't Serge though) said, "tomorrow... always tomorrow". So I'm guessing it will be a while. lol

Thank, Kelly!! So funny...that's island time, for sure!! "Soon" is another one you hear a lot....how big will it be?? I wonder if it will block the views from the rooms right by the dive shop..the first floor timeshares. I LOVE the view from down there.....oh well.

Enjoy and relax...that's what it's all about, Kelly. It is an art, too.

Have you tried their garlic fried chicken at Casablanca yet??? If not, get the appetizer and check it out.....yummmmm!!!

Have fun with Barb and Alison! Ayo. Carole

Carole I ALMOST got that appetizer last night, but wasn't sure about it, I will definitely get it next time. Which will prob. be tonite ! LOL

From where the bar looks like it will be, my guess is the view will be obstructed now from the first floor rooms. when you are walking down the stairs to the dive shop, it is literally on the left of you, in fact, they are going to take out that railing is what I'm told, and you'll be able to walk straight from the dive shop side door, to the bar. Will be interesting to see the finished product.

Thanks for the report, Kelly. It'll probably be done by Sept. Enjoy the rest of your trip. Sue

Hey I had dinner tonite at Le Flamboyant with Ann Phelan and Maggie... who I LOVE by the way... but the dinner was really really good and priced reasonably. I had french onion soup and a chicken penne pasta with a roasted red pepper sauce... the whole dinner was only $15 US.... very very good stuff. BUT lots of mosquitos.. and I mean LOTS.. I sprayed before I left the house, and had to spray again before our food even got there, and STILL have bites all over my back and legs...

K Jo.
You are definitely a candidate for the Bud's Buggers field test. I will bring you some stuff tomorrow at Gibi's.
Bud

Hey Bud,

Be prepared to bring enough for all...it seems the nasty critters love Gibi's food and clientele too! I spray before I leave the house AND wear long pants and they manage to still get me! Kelly, see you tonight...if everything goes well we will be doing our last dive with Seb and Mary tomorrow AM. We had dinner at Casablanca with the other Mary, Dirk and Bryant the night before they left. It was great! We have made such great friends on Bonaire. It is always sad to see them leave, but Ed keeps on telling everyone, When we get into our house in Santa Barbara, you can stay there with us. At the rate he is telling everyone we will be sleeping on the roof, or worse, in the prickly trees with the iguanas! See everyone tonight! Liz
