Do any really big planes still land? Is it still a party at the end of the runway? If so what days / times?

I believe the KLM 747's still show up. I have no idea what times however...

I think KLM big bodies are L1011's or something like that.

There are several every day, so your odds of seeing one are good.

I just watched them for two weeks from Belmar. KLM has 2-3 flights a day. They have a daily flight that lands at 2:45 and a near daily flight that lands around 1. They are flying MD11's

So, in answer to your question...it is no longer a Friday evening party at the end of the runway.

I think KLM was using 747's on Friday's a while back and watching those babies come in was a real treat! Now that they have multiple flights per day I believe the crafts are smaller (but still very large!) and not quite as "impressive". Neat to watch them but scary to hear them in the middle of the night.

We were at the Donkey Sanctuary when one of the took off....boy, it certainly got MY attention!! LOL. Carole

Rusty,
Thanks...in answer to your question a few days ago....I lurk to relax and only occasionally join in the discussion, which makes me Princess Lurker instead of Queen Lurker - who, of course, would never post! LOL I bet there are lots of Queens and Kings out there...Hi to ya!
And with the new cam views I'm not getting my work done, as I should! I love the new activity watching! :-) :-)
