Thanks for the pictures Eileen! Quinn is going to be lucky enough to have good buddies right in the neighborhood. And it'll be good for you Moms too, to have someone to share the infant and toddler experience with. Thanks for posting - he's a beautiful boy.

Very cool kids. They almost look ready for the world, not sure about the short socks though. I'm not sure rather they are in style this year or not.

Thanks for sharing.

Good morning everyone. Lisa, Ashley looks entirely too cute in her cheer uniform. I want to come and see her perform sometime, Steph says she is awesome. I love that pic of her and Kyle, they are such good buddies. :-)

Eileen, loved the pics of Quinn and his friend. How nice they are so close in age.

Well I get to go diving this weekend, finally. Just quarry diving, but better than no diving! It's my first attempt since breaking my ribs so I'm a little nervous about it, but I'll just have someone do my heavy lifting. lol

Kelly, take it easy this weekend. Are you diving in Bowling Green? Take lots of pictures and have a great time! I will hope for no rain for you. It has rained here way to much this week.

Yes Bowling Green, chance of rain all weekend. Will dive in the rain if I have to! I am actually helping with a class that is getting certified, to help with my Divemaster certification. So I'm pretty excited about that.

Back from the dentist, NO ROOT CANAL WORK!!!!!Hurrah. It must have been all the good vibes from you folks. Had a filling changed and am still numb. However the dentist thinks the pain is mainly due to stress so I am going to have to find an alternative therapist if it doesn't stop. I don't want to carry on taking Ibuprofen for the foreseeable future!
Babies are gorgeous, everyone.
Thanks again for all the good thoughts. :-)

Julia, that's great news! Just a thought... maybe you are grinding your teeth when you sleep, they make special mouthpieces for that. My friend Marty has one and it makes all the difference in the world to her .

Morning all! Eileen, Quinn and Tore are so cute! I'm with Elivra, I like the "made in Canada" suite eh? Lisa, Kelly, all the girls are beautiful!

We head back to Arizona this afternoon to go through more of my mom's things, and sort through some more of her affairs:-( Two days ago, I was driving home from work and thought "gee, I haven't cried today...first day I haven't cried." Then I got home and got an email from a friend, and boom...didn't make it through the day....I'm really looking forward to making it through an entire day without shedding tears...I know it will come in time:-)

Julia, good news. I'm with Kelly, I used to grind my teeth years ago and had horrible jaw pain and headaches, the dentist made a "night guard" and it cured it all in a few weeks!

Here are a couple more Sint Maarten shots...

The dock that goes nowhere...

Julia, great news on your teeth, enjoy your camping trip this weekend.

Kelly, have fun at the quarry :-)this weekend.

Cinthia - is ok to cry and as the time goes by the crying stops. I used to cried every day after my dad passed away 3 yrs ago. I tried to remember all the good times I had with him and it makes me laugh, he was a wonderful man and funny!
Thanks for the pictures!
Take it easy this weekend and have a safe driving.

Hi Mary!!

Good morning!

Not sure that I would call myself a flexitarian, but I do eat a lot more vegetables and seafood than I do meat. Eat quite a bit of chicken, some pork. And once in a while I'll give in and have a steak or BBQ ribs. Yum! Need to start watching it closer, however, just got some blood results back. Cholesterol is at 258. Yipes! Anyone for a nice salmon steak?

Lisa, Ashley looks like a really fun person. Neat picture of her.

Cynde, remember that your mom is always with you, in your heart and in your mind.

Julie, great news on the dental check. Now, let's get to the root (no pun intended) of the problem.

Nice Quinnpix Eileen, also lovin' that "made in Canada".
Cecil, short socks always rule for the cool.
Julia, I am with the bite guard folks, it's sure worth a shot, I got one a month or so ago myself.
Cynde, I like that dock on the rocks. I always think of how good it is to get my eyes all cleaned out when I cry. Expel the pollutants!

Seb, that doc was so funny, it was next to the boat on the beach

Guess they are too lazy to clean things up, or just wait until the ocean takes it! LOL!

Crying...yep, I know it's good...it just sucks though:-(

I don't know Seb, I see myself being very cool in sandals, some long dark socks, shorts, Hawaiian shirt, hat and metal detector in a few years.

Have fun on your dive, Kelly. Quarries are better than dry.

Great news, Julia. I've gone through the tension headache drill, still get them but at least I know why. Need more zen (to me thats UW).

Nice shots, Cynde. I liked Sint Martin but we'll probably never return. In the island not want to go category, my father is planning a family trip for January. He wants to go on a western Caribbean Princess cruise (gag me with a spoon). I want to go on that cruise as about as much as I want that job in NC. In both cases if it comes down to it I'll do it and probably still have a great time, not that, that will stop me from complaining.

A couple of other notes, the adoption of Tipsy was signed into law last night. She's our to have and to hold till death or soiled carpets (:-)) we part. The other is I actually went to work this morning, weird feeling. Contract is all signed and legal. One nice thing about this contract is I get my security clearance back (looks good on the resume).

Cecil, I'm confused, is the Skylark job different from the contract job?

Sint Maarten, I don't ever seeing us going back either...it was WAY too crowded for our tastes. Loads of traffic. Heck, they have 4 cruise liners come into the Phillipsburg port DAILY! One of our rituals while we were there was to watch them leave at night...as they went by you could see all of the camera flashes as folks were snapping pictures of the island as they were leaving...and heck, if dad's paying, go along and enjoy yourself man!

Yes, Skyworks was a full time job (that's what I did not get). I still got the contract job, it will be 5 weeks of work for 3-4 months of pay (if we're frugal). Oh, and Dad's not paying, he's got no money and way to many girlfriends (God love him).

Have a great weekend LaDonna!

One other thing I should mention about my father, he turns 80 in June.

On an interesting note, late last year I got a Mosquito Magnet (it's a machine to catch mosquitoes, boys and they're toys). Well I put it together and got it running a month ago. Here's the first mosquito it captured.

First Mosquito

I cermonially released her, unharmed, to appease the mosquito fairies. This is that bag today.

Bag

I was not so nice to these ladies.

Quite a neat toy, jury is still out, it takes a couple of generations to see a difference. We are still dealing with the first generation (and a thirsty lot they are).

Hello to Everyone! Performing my late-night scan of BT wishing I could participate during the day.

I do have a question though....Cecil~ We are currently investigating the Mosquito Magnet and similar contraptions. I'm glad to see all those mosquitoes in that bag! It lets me know the thing really works!

My husband is considering purchasing the Blue Rhino (cordless) SkeeterVac because you don't have to have a power cord running through your yard. Compared to the cordless Mosquito Magnet, it's considerably cheaper. My fear, however, is that you get what you pay for.

Soooo, my question is, has anyone else out there had any experience with the SkeeterVac or other similar mosquito entrapment systems? Thanks for your help!

Greta that really looks to be the same beast and a similar price. The lack of a cord is a big advantage, I especially feel this way today since yesterday I buried the cord for the mosquito magnet. It's not that hard but I had a long run and cutting a 100' trench with a spade is a pain. All you do is lift the sod and put the cord under the grass.
