I say Antelope Friday, because that was one of our specials last night on my first day at my new job. Woo hoo! We have two specials, and one "game table" special, as well as two soups and one appetizer special. I think it was Antelope Scallopini ala milanese, or something like that. lol. Looked like chicken.

It was much busier than they thought it would be last night, so I was actually working instead of just following "Pam" around. Hard work let me tell ya! Lots of stuff to remember. But it's such a pretty place, that the surroundings are somewhat distracting.

I have until Tues. to memorize the wine list, and the menus and liquor, to be tested on it. Then Wed., the manager comes in and I have to serve her... that's my final test. Last night, the only thing I messed up was refilling someone's water glass with iced tea. :-)

Remains to be seen if I'll like it, the tips are unbelieveable though, so of course that helps. Just might be too many hours, next week I'm scheduled to work 5 nights, and I work a full time job during the day too. And have a teenager at home ! Sooooo.... we'll see....

Hope everyone has a great weekend, and a Happy Mothers Day to all our wonderful moms out there.... especially Linda, our Cam Mom. xoxox

John, the food is beautiful! I've never seen so much food that made my mouth water so badly! lol

On www.cherryvalleylodge.com they have the menus if anyone is bored and wants to check it out. :-)

Diana, it is way too much to learn in a short period of time, but I just keep thinking it's Bonaire money, and that certainly helps. :-)

Kelly, You got my attention with the Cherry Valley Lodge. We live in Reynoldsburg! Cherry Valley was a favorite of my grandfather; it truly is beautiful. We're leaving tomorrow for Bonaire! Back in two weeks; will look you up when we get back. Good luck with the new job, BT neighbor. Judy

Kelly,

At least this place has more to eat than those nuts and chips your old place. Sounds like your tips will go up but I bet your mullet ratio will go down. Think about that. Is worth more money to loose the mullet-head customers?

Life is always a trade off.

Dr. Doo, Do you think that we can start a francise and sell mullet 'add-ons'?
I think that the Cherry Valley Lodge has enough square footage to set aside a little spot for the Mullet Mart.
Whadja think? We'll have a bunch of styles and colors with little elastic bands that hold the mullet in place and can be hidden in the natural hair. And, of course, a photo booth to take pics of satisfied customers with their new mullets.

Ummmm, Antelope. Al and I took a 300 mile Harley ride yesterday up around Steamboat Springs. Lots of Antelope roaming :-) out in the fields!

Mary,

I like the idea. I will invest in the Mullet Mart. We may have to do a little more market research to see if would work better at Cherry Hill Valley Lodge or at Jugz biker bar.

Linda,

300 mile ride...That is a good day on a Harley. One week this summer I want to ride to Key West and back. It is about 450 miles one way. That should make a nice week long trip. Now I just have get someone to follow with all the scuba gear so I will have something to do during the stops.

Mike,
That's ONE advantage of being a snorkeler :-).....but I'd still have to strap the fins on my back (too long for side bags). We take a Harley ride every Friday during the "season". We usually do a 150 - 200 mile ride but have done 450 miles. It just depends where the road leads us. The Keys ride would be wonderful, especially the seven mile bridge.
