Cynde,

You , your mother and family are constantly on my mind.We are sending "massive" positive vibes your way.
I hope you didn't dream as spooky as yesterday; it might just be your mind cleaning your anxiety but I know how spooky dreams like that can be.

Be strong , have faith, convince yourself and your mother that she will get better.
Make her laugh: the "Power of joy and laughter" is so often underestamated.

:-) :-) :-)

sjoske

( and a big sloppy hug from Amber and Alexander toooooooooo!!!:-) )

Cynde,
I read about the dream, in the yesterday thread, and I agree with all the others that when you are very busy in your mind you take that along in your dreams as well.
We are sending lots of positive energy and keep your mom in our thoughts all the time.
And I agree with Jos as well, keep convinced about the healing process!

Lots of love,
Diana and Ruud

Cynde, we have been thinking about you night and day. I wish you could see me today - you would laugh, I have a nice summer outfit on with sandels and it is a little chilly for that. My white legs are attractive too. (The body temp. is really high right now). I think your mom would laugh too.

I hope everything goes really well today. I can just picture all of us around you giving you a big hug at the same time.

Good Morning all, Thought I would start the day off with some more flowers.. Flowers to me represent the rebirth or healing over of the seasons. Thought some cherry blossoms might be in order here. Hope your day is comfortable Velva and I hope that Cynde, your day is calm.. don't forget to smell the flowers, they can refresh the soul..

I had the same idea as Freddie today, but she beat me to the post. Me and that gal are definitely on the same wave length. I thought I would send this rose to Mom, you can almost smell it's fragrance. I hope that today is a better one for you all. Annie B.

This was sent to me this morning by Lisa Barclay. She is on BT sometimes, and is my daughters stepmother. (yes, my ex-husband's wife) She said it reminded her of Cynde. I thought that was so nice and wanted to share it with you. Lisa's great. :-)

If I could catch a rainbow, I would do it just for you
and share with you its beauty
on the days you're feeling blue.

If I could build a mountain, you could call your very own;
A place to find serenity,
A place to be alone.

If I could take your troubles
I would toss them in the sea,
But all these things I'm finding
are impossible for me.

I cannot build a mountain
Or catch a rainbow fair,
But let me be what I know best,
A friend who's always there.

Hi all, a quick check in...Kelly, tell lisa thanks for the poem. I'm printing this off and will take it to mom and read to her today on our first daily visit.

Freddie, just got a chance to check out and print the info from www.ards.org...ok, now I'm REALLY depressed! If she got ARDS from sepsis (blood infection), that is a double whammy. I'm tracking her P02 levels now, and I'm hoping her white blood cell count has dropped today. I'm pushing the doc to find out exactly where the heck the infection is coming from. Found out yesterday that the neck swelling was from subcutaneous emphyseama (sp). A result of the intubation...probably a tear in the trachea. It looked better yesterday and her back and shoulders didn't feel like bubble wrap when I gave her a shoulder rub...so that's a good sign...off to check out of the hotel and go put our things in the apartment...

Once again, you ALL are my strength, and Kelly my little cactus flower, you will be my strength when Sherry goes home for a week...I DON'T want to be here alone! We are going to work out a schedule in the next couple of days, so hopefully I will have more info then...

I love you all, and again, thank you sooooo much! Christine, I'll try to call you and give you our new address to send the debit card...

Love and hugs my BT friends, you give me strength...

Cynde

Cynde a double rainbow for you and your mom...

I am hoping there is not a tear in the trachea..in my experience the most common cause is a nicked lung when an IV line is placed under th clavicle..anyway I hate to speculate since I don't know the whole story. Best wishes again today! :-)

Cynde,

Thanks for your post. Glad to hear you are moving into the apartment. Take some time to put your toes in the sand in your back yard, call it therapy if you start to feel guilty for taking some "You" time.

Velva, Cynde & family...you remain in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for posting updates so regularly...they help me feel "in touch."
I'm happy to read that you'll be in a more personal setting than the hotel; should
be more restful for you. I agree with Tom...take that "you" time.

Barbara

Just walked in the door from a dive trip to Grenada to find 5 day old found mail waiting for me from Freddie. I clicked on the link she'd included & found myself here.

Hmmm... Us Brits aren't too good at displaying emotions in times like these, (stiff upper lips, and all that) & it's hardly the time for an attempt at humour, which would usually be my first approach, but I'm sure, Cynde, that you know I'm thinking of you & "yours"... Good luck!!
Let me know when you're ready for a smile or two & I'll do my utmost to tickle you with a few of the latest adventures of "Fancy Pants In Foreign Lands."

Incidentally, many thanks to all of you who wished me a belated "Happy Birthday" on Dec 27th. I've only just noticed your best wishes... I really should pay more attention, eh?

Andy

Cynde, let me tell you a story that I just got the answer to when I got home today and checked my e-mail.

A good friend of mine's step son had a terrible traffic accident 6 months ago. He was a young guy with many problems (drugs, alcohol, high school dropout), you know the drill. He was finally starting to mature a bit and had a steady job and seemed to be getting ahead. One last binge changed all that, he was driving with two friends in the car. Lost control and hit a tree. He was the only one seriously injured.

His list of injuries was long and very depressing. The worse of which was the brain stem and left frontal lobe damage. You can imagine the terrible decisions that were though about in the first days. To make a long story short, he woke up a week ago and was Ronnie.

We had some very interesting indications that Ronnie was still there even in a deep coma. Three months ago they would notice a difference in how he reacted to either Joe or Linda. They noticed he would be more violent with Joe around, I pointed out that he never did like Joe and that was just Ronnie being Ronnie.

Anyway hang in there and continued recovery. Here's a double rainbow for you.

Hey, Sir Fancypants! I'm sure Cynde will crack a smile on her face when she sees that you have reentered the picture and are thinking of her. I know I did. Good to see you back. Cynde would probably enjoy your spin once again, but I let her respond to your post when she can. Thanks for thinking of her. Carole

PS Belated, belated Happy Birthday!!
