Ok, it really isn't luv your puppy day, but I had to think of a way to start this thread! The gal that house/dog sits for us when we go away just emailed me the cutetest pics of some doxy puppies...aren't these guys just adorable!

La Donna, aren't they? BTW, thanks for the tip on the article in Passage Maker, I went home and looked and we had it. Great article! I shared it with our flotilla at our Saturday morning meeting! I also ended up taking the AUXSEA test after the meeting (not really prepared as I hadn't looked at the book in 2 weeks due to this stupid cough/gunk/ick I've had...so we will see if I passed!) I should be done with crew school by the end of April so I can officially go out on patrols...then take the PWC crew school course so I can go out on patrol on a PWC (bummer, I know...but someone has to do it! LOL!)

Our flotilla actually did rescue a guy when they were out on patrol in December. Here is a USCG press release on the rescue

Cynde....Good luck, but I would bet you passed! I am in awe of how much work you and all the other volunteers put into the CGA!!!!!!!

Thanks La Donna We had the Division Awards Brunch on Sunday and a USCG Captain gave a small speech, and he was talking about the role of the USCGA, etc. and he was telling a story of when he was stationed in Florida (after they moved them to "Homeland Security" (he's an airman) and they were having a meeting with Navy, Air Force, Marines and Army heads and were trying to come up with an "alternate plan" for "inclement weather." The USCG Captain said, what do you mean "alternate plan for inclement weather" they said, you know, when the weather gets bad, we need some sort of alternate plan cause we can't go out...he said "I'm a pilot for the USCG...the ONLY time we go out is when the weathers bad!!" We all got a good chuckle!

Mary, I took my camera but forgot to have someone take pics! I did take a couple pics I'll share tomorrow that were very moving

My mom just emailed me another picture of Angel in the snow...mom said she was barking and causing all kinds of comotion, so she went out to see what was up and she was barking at the snowflakes! How cute is that????
