Well we now know that Dr. Doolittle arrived safely on island with his "friend" Kelley (not my Kelly, but a different Kelley, who also lives in Ohio...how confusing is that!)

Okay, I thought this would be good for the quiz of the day...I'm confident that anyone on this site can pass! :-)
The following short quiz consists of 4 questions and
will tell you whether you are qualified to be
professional. " Scroll down for each answer. The
questions are NOT that difficult.

1. How do you put a giraffe into a refrigerator?

The correct answer is: Open the refrigerator, put in
the giraffe, and close the door. This question tests
whether you tend to do simple things in an overly
complicated way.

2. How do you put an elephant into a refrigerator?

Did you say, "Open the refrigerator, put in the
elephant, and close the refrigerator? " (Wrong Answer)
Correct Answer: Open the refrigerator, take out the
giraffe, put in the elephant and close the door. This
tests your ability to think through the repercussions
of your previous actions.

3. The Lion King is hosting an animal conference. All the animals attend except one. Which animal does not attend?

Correct Answer: The Elephant. The elephant is in the
refrigerator. You just put him in there. This tests
your memory.

OK, even if you did not answer the first three questions correctly, you still have one more chance to show your true abilities.

4. There is a river you must cross but it is inhabited by crocodiles.
How do you manage it?

Correct Answer: You swim across. All the crocodiles are attending the Animal Meeting.

This tests whether you learn quickly from your mistakes. According to Anderson Consulting Worldwide, around 90% of the professionals they tested got all questions wrong. But many preschoolers got several correct answers. Anderson Consulting says this conclusively disproves the theory that most professionals don't have the brains of a four year old.
Send this out to frustrate all of your smart friends.

LOL Barbara & Cynde!!!!

Happy Birthday to Brian pic

Happy Thanksgiving All! We are taking the motor home and going today to spend some days with our friends out in Charleston harbor. We seem to find new "families" to be thankful for every where we go - feels so nice.

FYI - when I went to donate to the donkey sanctuary online - the direct link that Jake gave didn't work for me, but I went to the supportbonaire site and was able to do it from there.

I remember this guy, but I bet he's not gate crashing anymore since Grendl is as big as he is!

Lisa, that little thing is quite addicting...I spent more time watching it, them going in and out of the door, the bird picking up the ornaments and putting them on the tree...LOL! Then give it a shake and watch them scream and fly! Where was your profile pic taken?

So Lisa - are you going to Bonaire or St John next year!?!?!
The islands are very different - the roads on Bonaire much better. The roads in the park remind me of the ones in St John!!!

I never thought I would say this - but the snorkeling is better in Bonaire!!! You only have to stick you face in the water and you see that you are surrounded by fish!!! Much more coral too!!

I am trying to figure out how I can go to both places next year!!! Don't know if my hubby will let me though. St John is still my first love!!!

Both islands have incredibly friendly people!!! Never felt unsafe on either island too.

Kris. Hope you have a great day tomorrow. Annie B.

TWAS THE NIGHT OF THANKSGIVING

'Twas the night of Thanksgiving, but I just couldn't sleep.

I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep.

The leftovers beckoned - the dark meat and white,

but I fought the temptation with all of my might.

Tossing and turning with anticipation,

The thought of a snack became infatuation.

So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door and

gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.

I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,

pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.

I felt myself swelling so plump and so round,

'till all of a sudden, I rose off the ground.

I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky,

with a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie.

But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees....

Happy eating to all, pass the cranberries, please.

May your stuffing be tasty, your turkey be plump.

Your potatoes 'n gravy have nary a lump.

May your yams be delicious, your pies take the prize.

May your Thanksgiving dinner stay off of your thighs.

Mary - Like you, I'd LOVE to do both next year.
St. John will always be special, since I got married at Cinnamon Beach. Hubby wants to go back to STJ, and the rest of my family, who all made the journey for our wedding, want to go back to St. Thomas (ugh ... not enough nature or peacefulness for me). So if there's only one trip in the cards next year, and if Mom is up for it health-wise, it looks like the USVI will win. I'll just have to sell them on staying on STJ. I really want to get to Bonaire though. Especially after your wonderful trip report and pix!!!!

...But I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that I'll get both trips.

Lisa - I there is no comparison between STJ and St Thomas. I would never stay on St. Thomas - too touristy - too crowed - too much crime - too dirty!!!
For those who want St Thomas - tell them that it's just a short Ferry ride away and an easy day trip!!!

When are you thinking about going?!?!

By the way - I don't know if I told you before - Cinnamon Beach is our favorite beach on the island. The first time we were there - our house overlooked it and that is where we did most of our snorkeling - loved going around the little cay!!!
