Easy for me: one neighboring house is still empty since may this year.
The other neighbors are nice people, but we don't have that much contact. Only some small talk.

Beer Day

Despite living in the largest beer producing country in the world, the people in the U.S. fall far short of the record in per capital consumption. People in the Czech Republic, Ireland, Germany, Denmark, Austria, Luxenbourg, UK, Belgium, Slovak Republic and Australia all drink more brew! beer

wave Hi Annie! Hi Diana! I'm on the mend, finally. I wound up sleeping away most of Friday and Saturday until noon and when I got up most of the congestion that had been keeping me bleary-eyed and dizzy for a week was gone. Now I have the normal stuffy/runny nose and cough you'd expect with a cold.

rainy We have a steady cool rain here in Western Massachusetts and many of the fall flowers are going by so it's a little dreary. The leaves haven't begun to turn color yet but it's coming soon. BB took down the screenroom so we're beginning to huddle for winter.

paper I'm going to go back to bed and read the Sunday paper. Wanted to say hello and let you know that I should be back in the swing of things soon. Tired of all this wasted time.

rusty
Good to hear (READ) from you again.
Hope it will improve now very soon. I think the best medicine for flu is sleep, but that it is really boring to waste time like that.

Hello Ladies, a good morning to you all on whatever side of the puddle you are.
Glad you are feeling better, Rusty. We all hate to be knocked on our a** by a cold, I find it VERY frustrating.
Raining in NYC today too, quite a downpour last night, it woke me up!
gee Annie, does that mean the US is the largest exporter of beer too? (I wonder if we could also be the largest porterexporter? Nah!)

Mary.. At least your weekend had a theme: home entertainment.

Yesterday when looking for the men and technology, I found a real fun site. Hence the men and women difference.

Funny Diana (you're probably asleep by now:-)) It has been really foggy the last few days. We have been "socked" in so to speak. Right now, can't even see the hills off our back yard. Yesterday we took a hike on a trail by our house. It goes along side of a mountain that is a preserve. I thought this looked cool:-)

Nice picture Cynde. I wish I had a view like that. Ok it's late here, so I am off to bed. Felt a bit grotty today. BP rose sky high again for some reason so I just spent the day resting. Didn't do much good though. See you all tomorrow. Annie B.

Hi Meryl,

Annette dropped me an e-mail about your note.

I'm still in the U.S.(again - this time due to a funeral and helping a friend settle our passed-away friend's business affairs) until Wednesday night.

Linda is home and I dropped her a note to make sure she checks the mailbox.

Thanks, and hope to see you before you leave Bonaire, but after I get back :-)

Jake

Linda. So glad you were able to retrieve the goodies in time. Looking back now, I can't help but laugh. A message going all round the world to prevent Grendel from getting into the mail box. .gif"Annie B.

Grendel was quite excited when I opened the mailbox. She was convinced that Meryl must have meant them for her. But I don't know about saving some for Jake. He's been in the States for the last week. He must have had his fill of bagels by now. I haven't had a single one since July :-(

Good morning, everyone. I am back. Actually got back about 7:00, Saturday morning. Been busy catching up on things since then.
It was a wonderful trip. Juneau, of course and as usual, was rainy when we left. When we drove over the pass, it cleared and stayed clear until we again drove over the pass on the return. Then, of course and as usual, it was raining. But yesterday was a beautiful sunny day, and today promises to be the same once the fog burns off.
Trip was generally uneventful--at least no bad events. Actually got to see Mt. McKinley! As mentioned once before, it creates its own weather. But this day it was being nice and friendly. An awesome sight!
I started catching up on all the threads, but, sheesh, you guys are chatty. Finally said, phooie! So, will somebody please give me the condensed version? Like anything of great news happen while I was gone?
