My head cold is still very bad, but I stopped the cold medicine last night. I keep hoping I'll get over this soon - the congestion is really fouling my equilibrium so I don't have too many choices. Lie down, sit back. Repeat. So I'm going to try to go read or something. I'm tired of sleeping.

BB and I took this yesterday, can't remember which one snapped it?!

butterfly

So much activity in the asters now. Winter is coming...

Looking at it, I figured as much, the water is WAY to calm, but it still is a pretty cool picture. I really need to get proficiant enough with my photo programs to be able to do something simualar. I may have to splurge and take a class on how to do things correctly, all my attemps look like the the thongs that have a tendency to appear here on certain pictures!

Hi Jenni. It has been raining a little down here too, but not enough to prevent me from going out and tidying up the garden. My asters have all died off now, so I need to replace them with something else.

Two of my favorite fuscias which survived the big dig out when we transformed the garden earlier in the year.

It's...

Dear Diary Day

People have been writing in diaries as long as there have been pen and paper. There's something nice about keeping a record of the days, but... saucy starlet, Mae West, had a different idea with her famous quote:

"Dearie, Keep a Diary and
Someday the Diary
Will Keep You"! anything

Rusty, feel better gal! Great butterfly pic! Annie, she has motivated me to fiddle with my macro setting too!

Here is another one from sea world. This was in the sea lion rescue exhibit. This sea lion wasn't coaxed or anything, I thought it was a cool shot...

Anne B, Anne B!! Glad you now have the rain, up until last week we were 10" below average. Now we are 2" above. Doesn't seem like a lot except that is almost 1/2 a years allocation rain in 1 week. The local saying is "Crops go in, in the mud and crops come out, in the mud. No Mud No Money!" I am sure that most local farmers would like the cycle shifted a month earlier....

Clint. The thing that is making me laugh right now is the darn dog standing at the door watching the rain and crying. I opened the door and he scooted right back to his bed. doordog Annie B.

We have a screened in patio/porch that I usually "shrink wrap" for the winter. For the last 10 years I have told myself that "This is the last year for this, I'm always to late putting the plastic up and to late taking it down!" I had planned on making wood frames and covering them with crystal clear plastic, "plastic windows", to put in behind the screens. Finally did two weeks ago. Now I can take one or two "windows" out for a little extra breeze, or keep everything buttoned up warm and dry for the dogs, and the plants that we haven't brought in.
Fish you are now pardoned! You are now free to fly, so fly away!
