Hi everyone, this is a great site, and I've been reading most of the posts here with interest. I'm planning my first trip to Bonaire next spring. It seems that it's much cheaper to come in June rather than April, but the average temperature looks to be about the same. Is there any disadvantage to making the trip in June? Does the snorkelling change at all between those two months, or is it always just as good?

The summer is cheaper because you don't have the people from chilly spots trying to escape the snow for a while and they aren't interested in going to the Carribean during the summer. The sun is a little stronger in June, i.e. unless your feet are tough you can't go barefoot like you can in April or May, but the diving is the same and the weather over all is great all months of the year. Bonaire is a very reliable island as a destination, and the people are wonderful.
