Some folks have been asking about this. I know that buddy's used to offer a guided cave snorkel tour, and I believe this is the way to do it (guided tour) for both safety of people, the caves, and the wildlife.

If you have any experience with this on Bonaire, please share them.

Thanks,

Cynde

I did the cave snorkle in November. I went thru Buddy Dive, Henk is the guide and is wonderful. He is very knowledgble about the caves in Bonaire. We went to 2 caves, the first was a dry cave and the second one was a wet one where we got to snorkle, Well worth it!!

Very cool! Any pictures?
Was it just your group or did you have to work into a group with others?
Thanks for sharing!

It was just 4 of us from the Dive group we were there with. I didn't take a camera, but there were lots of pics taken, I'm still trying to get copies from my friends!! If I ever get them I'll post them here :-)

Amazing that there is still so much to learn about such a small island!

I believe that Wilco at Habitat is also a cave cave guide.

My wife and I went with Hans. He will pick you up from where you are staying and take you on 2 trips: a dry cave and a wet one.

Hans showed us a newly, fossilised bat. Very cool! During our wet cave visit, we were visited by shrimps and we saw a local (rare) fish.

A little advise: only bring your swimmings trunks/bathing suite, some flip-flops and your snorkel gear. It is very hot down there
