Greetings BTers,

We will be visiting Bonaire for the first time next week and are so excited! We've gleaned a lot of info off of this board with respect to snorkeling up and down the west coast, but have little to go on regarding snorkeling in the WS park. If any of you have some insight on great snorkel sights within the park, we'd really appreciate it! We will have a pick up truck so hopefully access will not be a problem.

Thanks
Ellie

Tony,
Love those pictures of the angels, thanks for sharing!

Ellie, don't forget to look for the cannons at Boca Slagbaai if you snork there.

That, I believe is the real cannon. The other two are in a different location, still at Slagbaai. They are half molds in concrete, left over from Cornel Wilde's 1975 movie "Sharks Treasure". They are in about 20-25 feet of water, straight out from the south edge of the northern most building. There are also some fake chain links near there. Try to find them.(:-)

That pic was taken south of the buildings if my memory is correct. We will have to look for the ones you are talking about (even if they are fake) when we are there next week. :-)

Ron
Yes, I think it less than 100 yds. south of the southern end of the beach, and shallow enough to freedive it.
