Can the Hilma Hooker be seen from the surface while snorkeling?

If the water is really clear, The Hooker sits at 90' at the bottom and around 50'-60' at the top. You might be able to see the outline but not get a real good look. The first year we went to Bonaire the water was very clear and the Hooker was visible when we were within about 50' of her, but other trips we had to be right on top of her before seeing her. We are divers and love to dive the Hooker and look in all of her nooks and cranny's. Lots of critters to see and lots of photo ops to.

I have see it from the surface but I would not bet on being able to. Personally I would not snorkel that far to see it.

we snorkeled/freedove the hilma.. it was easily visible from the surface..this was during the month of Feb. even saw a huge bait ball move across the wreck being attacked by large jacks..
'cmon.. there's no reason you couldn't get to the hilma while snorkeling.. a little bit of practice with someone adept at freediving and dropping to the hilma would be piece of cake.
Also, the hilma's so close to the shore.. just swim out and see if it's visible.. if it isn't, it wouldn't have been much of an effort anyway.

My wife Diane and I did the hooker at night, with a full moon, without lights.
the moon reflected off the sand bottom and lit her up like daylight. It was an interesting dive...
