Anyone been there?? We're considering it. We want a beach that we can enjoy when we're taking a break from snorkeling. Some have told me about Divi, too. Any other ideas? We'll be in port for only 1 day and want to make the most of it. I tried to get a snorkel trip with Renee, but she's already booked. Tried Wind(something) they're booked, too. Any more suggestions? Thanks

How about the Mushi Mushi for a snorkel / drift sail trip. We used them and they were good. Or take the water taxi over to Klein for the day .

Lezlie, I suggest you walk from the cruise dock to Divi and go to the small beach near restaurant. There is good snorkeling at their house reef and you can snorkel all the way to Plaza if you have the energy and time. You can tan at the beach or the pier and get adult beverages from the bar. It is about a 10 minute walk to Divi. If you do not have equipment they also rent this at the watersports center at Divi.

For 1 day I would not suggest Pink Beach, it's a ways from town and isolated (nothing to drink close by) and has little shade. Divi would be your best choice but I also like Windsock. It's directly across from the airport and a lot closer to town. Good bit more shade as well. If you don't mind a little drive 3-4 miles, 1000 Steps also makes a really nice snorkel spot.

Another place to consider is the Plaza Resort. They have one on the nicer beaches, place where you can get something to eat and rent equipt if you need it.
The only downsides are: they charge $5.00 to use their beach (at least that was what they charged some time back-and I think that gets you into their pool as well which is quite nice).
The other downside it is about 2 miles south of town so it is a hike, but at least the beach is a beach. (the divi beach is really so small you should not call it a beach, but a patch of sand).
