Ned DeLoach & Paul Humman's Reef Fish ID book - EXCELLENT book. They actually have a series - Reef Fish ID, Reef Creature ID, Reef Coral and there is also one on Reef Fish Behavior though I don't think that is the name of it exactly. I have them all - I'm actually on round 2 of the reef fish ID book and I also have one for the Pacific Ocean and Indian Ocean. Just make certain that you are looking for the ones for the Caribbean and not other locations. You may also want to try your local dive shop. They may have the whole series with a nice nylon binder to keep them all together. I know, I know - MAJOR fish geek here.

If your local dive shop does not carry them you can find them on-line at Amazon.

Enjoy

Hi Helene,

There are a variety of books available at http://www.bonairestuff.com
Click on the maps, books, and dvds.
If you do purchase the Paul Humann/Ned DeLoach books, make sure you get the latest editions.
You can also purchase the small waterproof pocket editions
http://www.bonairestuff.com/proddetail.php?prod=BK-FISHINPKT
which come in handy if you are not a photographer -- you can compare the fish you are seeing to the waterproof picture you are carrying!
I also like the REEF software

Helene - We use the series that Mara mentioned. Got the whole set at a discount on Amazon.

If you take a laptop with you, then look at the Humann series on DVD - Much less weight.
