Hi folks, I just discovered this site today. Good to know so many appreciate this little gem of an island! We are coming back down in July for our seventh trip to Bonaire, but hav'nt been there for quite a few years now. Since before the hurricane anyway. We've been island hopping and looking for the perfect place. Bonaire happens to be it. Our last trip was to Ambergris Caye, Belize. Heard so much about how great the snorkeling and diving was with the barrier reef and all. Does'nt hold a candle to Bonaire. Anyway, I digress. Can we expect to find much damage to the corals at this point?

Gail, we haven't been to Bonaire since last June but at that time the coral was beginning to make a recovery. There is still a lot of rubble but the fish were abundant as usual.
