I don't know nothing about booties. They seem to be very usefull, on the rocky shores of Bonaire. Am I right: Booties are a kind of soft shoes, made of water resistant material? We use "flippers" with a closed heel. I guess it is wise to use booties to walk over the rocky beaches, and then .........???? please, make me wiser!

If you have surf/water shoes to wear down into the water, you can then hang them on a strap around your waist after you put your fins on. My niece and nephew did this and it worked fine for them.

You can also wear Teva or some other water sandle into the water and the hang them from a strap. Have seen several people that only snorkel do this and it seems to work for them.
