Someone about a week or so ago asked about the swim to Klein Bonaire event. I tucked it into my memory and kept my eyes open for some news. Now I have the news but I can't find the thread.

" It’s back for the fourth time— the now famous Swim To Klein Bonaire Fundraiser organized by Jong Bonaire on Sunday, October 3. Everyone on the island who can swim, wearing fins or not, is invited to take to the water at Bongo’s Beach to cross the 800m. stretch to Klein Bonaire. Many make the return trip. There will be several boats escorting the swimmers. Last year over 200 people of all ages signed up. It starts at 8am and with your NAƒ15 donation you’ll get a T-shirt and a great breakfast upon return. Don’t miss it!"

There is another swimming event but I can't find dates yet. It is the "The 4th Annual Deep Blue 5k Swim, Metric Mile Swim, and Ocean Festival" This has been scheduled on a weekend early in November in past years. Usually Bonhata is a sponsor and has had info on their web site. There is nothing there right now but that doesn't mean it is not happening. I'll keep you posted if I see anything. Hopefully I should be able to find my own thread :-)
