Is it safe to leave anything locked in my car when I am snorkeling at Lac Bay? Or do I have to worry about break ins there as well? I would like to bring my camera to take pictures and then leave it in the car while I am snorkeling.

Nope....saw lots of kids cruising around. I had my camara too.....I just cruised off and stashed it in some bushes...watch those foot steps leading to the bush :-)

Hi, Joe! I'm certain Wally/Eva is/are right....besides, I don't think I would even leave my camera or anything of value in my car unattended here in my hometown in the States. It is best not to visibly tempt anyone, anywhere.

Have a great time snorkeling the Lac Bay spots....it is supposed to be wonderful over there. Carole

Bob and I put aside a day just for taking photos. Suggest you do one trip for snorkelling and take your photos another time. However we do put a disposable camera in the truck, just to take the odd emergency snap.

Is there a big change from last year??? Or just the common sense things one would do anywhere?? I have always felt safe and at home walking on the island at night and leaving flip flops on the beach and never have had a problem

Am I to believe now things have changed so dramatically since last year??

I think there's a difference between flip-flops and a camera.

Do you leave your camera in your car in remote areas at home?

No, I don't believe there is any drastic change for your to be concerned about, but why tempt anyone anywhere in the world with camera equipment in a car.

Besides, the camera would probably melt down in the daytime heat!

Have no fear, you are still safe to walk the streets as you were before. We can't wait to get back there in June. Carole
