Just returned from Bonaire and had a great time. Anybody been to Fiji for snorkeling? If so what area do you like?

I have not snorkeled in Fiji. But from what I remember from my diving trip ~ 15 years ago, there are plenty of shallow reefs that should be good for snorkeling. Check out the various resorts and see if they mention anything about protected lagoon areas. There are areas where the currents can really rip, and those would not be good snorkel sites.

We're planning our first trip to Bonaire for this March. Had a great time snorkeling in Fiji several years ago. We stayed at a resort on Quemea (pronounced as if it starts with a 'G'). The owners were great. Snorkeling right off the beach in front of our 'hut' plus they were good at taking us out in a boat ot other sites if we wanted. We also had great food and a very interesting trip to a local native village.
