First, this is my first trip to BonAire. I grew up in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina so I'm accustomed to night swimming in familiar waters. There are certain things you don't do, IE: swim in inlets where the mullot run, ect.. and you were safe.

In a word, none. You may be startled by a tarpon dining off of fish attracted to your dive light though. Divi has a pier with steps and it is lit at night. Look for the reef squid that hang around both day and night. You can spend hours between the ChaCha pier in front of the Dive Inn and the area to the south past the Caribe Inn, all without getting in your car.

John, this is off topic, but if you don't have a full meal plan, check out the dining thread for some fab places to eat.
