Hi I was wondering where other Europeans live on Bonaire. People from Ireland, Scotland and England particularly. All I see or hear of are the Dutch, not that there is anything wrong with that, but there must be others. Let me know where you are.

Liz

I am sure that others will be along to provide a better answer. In terms of residents, I tend to meet mostly Antilleans, Dutch and Americans (in that order). I know of a few from the UK, Columbia, Vz, etc.

Not sure that I can think of non-Dutch europeans clustered in any one area. Bonaire is not a super large place so there could always be a part of a neighborhood...

all kinds of nationalities reside on bonaire and are not clustered in areas, Bonaire has residents coming from the Netherlands, the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, even russia, I've met one irish person as well. there is no hangout place or meetings where you might bump into one group of nationalities, you should see it like this: they all left for a reason. I am sure you meet all kinds of nationalities while being out or living on the island.

Hi Elizabeth. Last figures I saw there were, I think, 39 people from UK resident on Bonaire. This includes my wife and myself although she's originally South African and now has a UK passport.

Add one from Sweden and a Canadian of German decent, and a Canadian son (so he does not count I guess) and we are not living there yet, just land owners in absence.
