I'm planning on going to the island sometime around Sept. 2009. I hope to stay for 3 months and complete my Divemaster cert. while I'm there (it's my main purpose for going)

**Can I rent a place for just 3 months?
Or can I rent a place for longer and then sub-let it?
Where do I look for rentals? newspapers, online, realty company?
I'm looking for something in the range of $500-$1000 per month.
**Can I rent a truck/car for cheap for 3 months? Or is it possible to just buy a really cheap used car...for like $500?
**Can you rent bikes long-term on the island?
**Is 3 months the longest I can stay (as an American) without getting permission to work or stay longer?

Kevin, I posed a similar question to the forum back in April and never received any answers.Yes,you can stay 90 days without any special permits.Check the realty companies on the island most have long term rentals in their inventory.I've seen some cheap vehicles for sale on bulletin boards,you might find one for $500. Are you mechanically inclined, have tools and if something breaks and you need a part.....remember your on a small island in the Carribean.Is your plan to arrive in Bonaire with a round trip ticket 90 days out for return?
