Are steel container homes allowed on Bonaire? I have seen the use of such containers made into homes skyrocket in the past year. Some of you may know of the rental community in Amsterdam at the old port. It actually looks ingenious. The containers are stacked, painted, windows and doors installed and are actually hurricane proof. Has anyone built one on your island?

We've begun exploring these online (lot-ek.com) to possibly build in Oregon. Aren't they amazing? I've seen lots of containers on the island and a few in people's yards used for storage. I agree that they're ingenious.
