If someone retires on Bonaire, what are the health care costs. Medicare and Medicade only grant coverage in the US. What do US citizens do for health care?

There are many policies that are available for purchase. The insurance companies in Denmark are quite popular with folks here.

http://www.healthcareinternational.com will give you some other options. Just like anywhere, costs are tied to age, kind of coverage, deductibles, etc.

Do you have european ancestry? If so, this is what you can do. Get your citizenship from the european nation of your ancestry. This gains you access to EU laws. If I am not mistaken, with a european passport (with EU status), you may be able to reside on Bonaire and enjoy health care benefits as long as you have your residency requirements met. I may be wrong, but I believe that's how it could possibly work for you... ? Maybe someone else has a take on my proposition?
