Hi all, I'm hoping someone here may have some experience with my next question, and be able to give me some pointers. I have my own company (an eenmanszaak, or sole proprietorship) in the Netherlands. I am American (married to a Dutchman, and with Dutch residency). The NL-US tax treaty prevents me from paying double taxes. I understand there is no such treaty between the US and Bonaire (Antilles). This leads me to wonder: would it be smarter to leave my company in the Netherlands? Or does it not matter, as the work I do would be physically carried out on Bonaire? (I'm a translator and programmer.) I know things may change in 2007, but I appreciate any feedback you might have on the situation now. Who knows, maybe we can speed the process up and move before 2008 ;-).
