Future land prices

I am looking for opinions on what land/home prices will do after 2007. We are still a few years away from calling Bonaire home and are thinking of buying a lot sooner instead of later.
I am wondering if the property will be higher in demand after all of the changes take place thereby driving prices up.

Susan is right. Nobody knows.
9/11 caused a stagnant real estate market here for a year or a bit more. Other than something unexpected, prices should continue to rise gradually.
Bonaire might well start using the Euro instead of the dollar after the country ceases to exist around 7/07. For people paying in dollars, this will probably erode the value of dollars. Keep that in mind. I'm thinking you should buy before 7/07 if you earn dollars rather than Euros.
