Hello everyone:
I am in the middle of gathering all my documents to apply for residency on Bonaire, and hope that someone can help me with the following question.

The residency permit application requires a birth certificate legalized with an apostille. Canada, however, does not do apostilles. Instead, there are several options for authentication of birth certificates. My problem is that I have not been able to find out which option the Netherlands Antilles deems acceptable.

If there are any Canadians who've gone through the residency process and can remember how they dealt with this one, I would appreciate your help.

Also, if anyone knows if something has happened to Juli-Mar, I would appreciate hearing about it. I thought I had contracted with her to assist me through the residency application process, but since I've returned to Canada, I have not been able to contact her either through email or by phone.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
Marlene

See if there is a Dutch Embassy around, that is where you get the Apostille.
