I was on island December 27-January 3. Hope this link works!

Stayed at the Caribbean Club for the first time, did my 2 morning boat dives with Buddy Dive each day, and did the afternoon shore diving with Mara, Pete, Kim, and Stewart in the afternoons (they were SO kind to include me in the "clan". First time with the new Canon G10, about which some of you were so great at providing advice for me last year. Obviously, I was not so proficient on a number of shots (blur, exposure issues, back-spatter, not having the strobe angled correctly)! User error was rampant! But definitely an improvement over the old Sea Life DC 500 (for me, at least!).

Sorry about all the sunset shots. I do go a little crazy. Every evening was a "sunset-keeper, though!

Already looking forward to December -- same time, same island.....

So glad that you liked them. Of course, that Frogfish at Klein turned out to be my favorite.

I loved looking at your photos, Steve. Thank you for posting them!!! May I ask where you found the crab?

I think that's a Scorpion Fish, unless I'm missing the frog fish in one of the other photos.

And where did you find the large clump of Flamingo Tongues? I looked all over for those things and you found a tree full!

Eric --

The Frogfish is in photos 142-144. I believe it is a Longlure Frogfish (see the Humann and DeLoach Reef Fish book, p. 309). The first photo in the batch is of a Scorpion Fish (and there are a few others mixed in). Luis, DM at Buddy Dive, had the Frog Fish's address and found it for us at the dive site called Carl's Hill. The only notation in my dive log about lots of Flamingo Tongues is Alice in Wonderland -- but I saw good quantities of them on most every dive.

Barbie Ruth -- the crab was in the sandy patch at one of the dives at Klein Bonaire, on the south side. Either the Forest or Hand's Off in all likelihood. I also dove Joanne's Sunchi, but I don't think it was that site.

Aha, now I see him. Couldn't make it out the first time I looked at them. Nice pics by the way!
