Has anyone tried the new Canon S90 yet? If so, would appreciate your opinions.

Take a look at kenrockwell.com he loves it.

Saw his report as well as as a few others. Looking for diver's feelings about it for U/W photography.

www.uwphotographyguide.com also likes it as a P&S that allows full manual control. BTW, this website offers a range of suggestions and explanations that could improve many of us amateur's photos.

I love my G10 and the G11 is probably better but it's not a great pocket camera, just too big and clunky for that. Sounds like the S90 has the same sensor. I didn't like Canons explanation of there housing for it, "Can access most controls" okay which ones can't you control? Might want to find that out before you pulled the trigger.
