Hey Tink--

thanks for the message. Just trying to figure out how to post photos from recent trip. (I have a Mac, Safari won't work so tried Foxfire. too bad the photos come out so small when I size them to meet the requirements.
will be posting about 20 photos soon when I finish the trip report.
this was taken in about 25 ft Belmar house reef, just off the buoy.
It was fabulous. Here's another few

Nell instead of resizing them try emailing them to your self and then saving them.. I can't guarantee that it will work for you but it works for me:-) Nice photos BTW

thanks for the tip Freddie--

just tried that--iphoto gives me a choice of small, med or large,
doesn't make the photo any bigger when I email it to myself and save it.

I've already resized the ones I will post. They are all on an Olympus 1010 point and shoot. I only used the underwater1 setting and was glad they came out.

maybe next trip will do flicker or other photo sharing.

I especially wanted my seahorse photo to be BIG :-)
will post the rest soon on a trip report.

I have posted instructions the should work on a MAC, or any computer for that matter

http://www.oldbonairetalk.com/newsgroup/messages/28/410001.html?1258313366

The instructions also include an easy fix for underwater photos to improve the look.

Nell,
I have a Mac too. While in Iphoto select one or more pictures, go to the file menu at the top of the page, hit export, a window comes up, select jpeg, another window comes up with choices, select smallest in the top choice and large for the bottom choice. save to your desktop. Then when when posting here use those saved photos. That's how I posted the above seahorse.

Great photo Aqua Paul--

when I export from iphoto I get a choice of
full size images or
scale images no larger than width/height, so I have to guess at what might come out under 100KB

if I save it to an email I get a choice of small, med or large and can
see the size in KB, but then when I post them they come out small
(as in first tests above)

Hmmm. When you hit export after selecting a picture at the very top of the window is three choices, File export, web page and quick time. You should have File Export selected. Or, possibly you have a different version of Iphoto then I have. I do update my version fairly often.

must be that my version of Iphoto is older. (as in 3 years)
guess it is time to buy the new Ilife package.
