What software would you recommend for putting together video clips that are recorded in QuickTime.
I have a PC. When took short video clips using my little Sony digital camera (not a video cam) I used MicroSoft's Movie Maker that came with my PC. Now I have a Canon that records in QuickTime and Movie Maker won't accept these clips.

Any suggestions?

Photoshop Elements. Easy peasy and you can add music to it or record voice overs.

Does Elements let you adjust the image quality in the video - say darkness/lightness, levels, etc.? Have not done video but my little Reefmaster does and I may try it out next trip.

Yes you can make adjustments like darkness.
