Does anyone have any experiences with the sealife ecoshot SL321? I was looking at that one to purchase but wanted some feedback. For snorkeling only no diving. Thanks for your help thus far!!

A total piece of crap. It's only 6 megapixels, has a fixed lens (no zoom) and can only focus down to 2 feet and cost $200. A disposable camera will do as well. Get the Olympus 850, it's 10 megapixels, has a 3x zoom lens and will focus down to 2 inches and costs $240. That last spec is the most important for UW, you need to get close for good shots. Two feet away is way way to far.

Do you need a housing for that camera as well? I have been reading that if you will be in the water over an hour at a time (which obviously we will ) that the olympus cameras have had leakage.

No it's good to 10 feet. Send it back if it leaks. You also have the option of purchasing the UW housing that will be like wearing a belt and suspenders.

if you really want a SeaLife, I'm happy to sell mine to you, along with the strobe...replaced it with Canon860 with Ikelite housing and haven't looked at the SeaLife in 15 months.

Sealife service is poor too.My DC600 flooded.A refurbished replacement was much more than any NEW 6mp anywhere.

I had a Sea Life camera - they dont take terrible pictures however you have to be in the exactly within the scope of the manual - it is a beginner camera outfit. A bit pricey for a beginner set up. Mine actually flooded - one of the control buttons fell out - in Wakatobi so upgraded to Oly SP-350 with Inon strobe - love this set up and the strobe can follow with my next set up when I chose to upgrade again.
