Hey, we have been having problems lately when trying to print our pictures. We have Adobe Photo shop 7 ? And also Picaso. Our pictures are coming out washed out. We have changed all the ink to new cartridges and it is still not printing as brilliant as it use to print.
Steve just bought a new program called Spyder 2 which we have not downloaded yet. It is suppose to be an advanced color calibration system. Has anyone had this trouble or has used this program?
I am apprehensive in downloading another photo program as we are still working out getting pictures from Picaso to Adobe and visa versa.
Any suggestions?

hard to tell...i do know that later versions of photoshop use a component called "Image Ready" (maybe version 3.0) that seems to significantly reduce color - not sure if image ready is being called when you print (photoshop) or not...

the same sort of color reduction seems to occur when i use one of my pics from photoshop as a windows desktop background...

try printing directy from the windows image viewer - if you do not see the same color reduction then it is a problem with photoshop - otherwise could be a printer hardware problem...

good luck,

ps:

it's another download but you might try the trial of adobe lightroom...

Unfortunatly my daughter doesn't come home till Thanksgiving! Where's a kid when ya need one! I "DO" know we don't use Adobe image ready... :-)
