Hello,

I just purchased two slightly used Sea & Sea YS-90 DUO TTL strobes. I need to use them with my Olympus C-8080 and PT-023 housing. Can any of you experts tell me what arms, tray, cables, etc. that I will need to make this rig work together? I appreciate any advice that you can give me.

Thank You!

Vernon

After looking at the web sites below, I don't think they will work with PT-023 housing. Maybe if they are the YS90Auto or YS90DX which the strobes used for Digital cameras you use the Sea&Sea fibre lead 58030 - YS-90 Diffuser and fibre-optic cable to fire them. If not then you may need the Ikelite housing but I don't how the standard YS90s (none digital) would work.

The fibre optic connection is shown at the bottom of this page http://www.camerasunderwater.co.uk/sea_sea/flash/sync.html

Good luck

Thanks Brian.

They are both almost new Sea & Sea YS-90 DX TTL Duo strobes. Yesterday I received one tray, arm, diffuser and fiber optic kit. I tested the strobes individually last night and either strobe will fire nicely in the slave mode.

The tray is an older Sea & Sea (dark grey/black version) dual tray (but with only one arm bracket on the left side). I need another arm bracket, arm, diffuser and fiber optic cable for the right side.

What I really need are someone's manual settings for these strobes using the C-8080's (or similar Olympus camera) custom mode for macro and standard settings. I would love to take the rig (with one strobe) into the swimming pool Saturday and experiment with focus and exposure settings.

Thank You!
