Hi,

I just had my Oly 350 repaired by Oly. They replaced the len which had malfunctioned. As it was under warranty, it was free. The camera body is original and about 8 months old.

Question, when you zoom in and out, does it make a clicking sort of noise? I do not remember this noise prior to it failing about six weeks ago, but it may have. This is independent of being in an underwater housing.

Can folks try their camera and let me know.

Lyida, I just tried all three of our SP 350's and NO clicking noise on any of them. I hope this helps... Ron

No clicking noise on mine either.

I can hear the camera gears when zooming in and out,but no click. I tried it with the camera body next to my best ear and still could not hear a click. Maybe talk to an Oly repair rep?

Thanks, a friend with same from Canada who dives Bonaire yearly as well reported a whorring noise but no clicking. So likely you are all in agreement. THANKS. Lydia
