I have many photo's from my first trip to Bonaire in 1988 that were taken before the age of digital. I cannot find the actual film and would like to have reprints or copies made. Does anyone have any suggestions on how or what to do?

Rosanne, I think Cord Camera will do it for you.

Rosanne, go to Walmart and buy a Lexmark Printer/Scanner for $55 and scan the pictures. I've been very impressed with how well the new scanners work. Leaps and bounds better than the old ones. As a bonus it will copy or fax and the new printer cartridges are only $20.

Thanks Kelly and Cecil! I'm going to invest the $55.00 and give it a try! Do you have a suggestion for the best paper, I know there a million choices and if you know that one works better than another I'd like to go with that one.

Best paper??? My suggestion is to scan them at home, edit and then send back to Walmart for printing. They will do a much better job and cheaper than printing at home. It's also a photo process so the quality is better than a printing process. You can e-mail the photo's and pick them up in an hour or so, one trip convenience.

If it's one or two then print at home on good quality glossy paper. I do not do it enough to have an opinion on paper.

unless walmart is gonna re-photograph what you send them i would consider that process only a printing process as well...

i print on HP premium glossy photo paper - reasonably cheap from sam's club...

I cannot tarnish my good image (LOL!) with such incriminating photo's. All I know is that in 20 visits to the island before hubby I only paid for diving, air and boat rides once. OoooooHHH I was bad.heheehehee but shhhhhh, don't tell anyone!

You could photograph the print with your digital camera and then upload it as you would normally do to your pc. I've done this a lot with better results and quicker than using a scanner.

HP makes a good quality photo paper that works will with most printers. I have printed pictures several times and they come out good. WalMart carries photo paper as does Office Depot and Office Max.
