My digital camera goes through the rechargable batteries rather quickly...will we need a special electrical adaptor while in Bonaire ?

You don't need any special adaptors on BON. All your laptops, chargers etc. will work fine.
On my first trip years ago I carried a little travel alarm CD player...the 127V current made it run a little fast...I think it was gaining about 10 min. per hour...it only lasted a few days. :-)

You might want a universal charger rated 100-240 VAC at 50-60 Hz. These are readily available and will work most anywhere. Bonaire electricity is nominal 127 volts at 50 Hz. The 50 Hz part will make a charger rated for only 60 Hz run physically hot. Radio Shack has them; also at this web site:

Just re-read your message, and you will not need any adapters as far being able to plug in your chargers. US outlets are standard everywhere I have stayed; many have European configurations as well.

If the dive shop has a charging station for guests, I suggest you use it since they have line conditioners and surge protectors installed to prevent damage to chargers.
