Well here we go again. Over 500 pictures to go through. The Sony did a great job if I discount the operator misses. As always the pictures will come through in the order of the trip. Here's the first batch.

Cecil, I'm trying to talk Michael into going LAX to MIA, overnight in MIA (he won't do redeye's anymore so I'm committed to taking 2 days now)...MIA to CUA, then Divi to BON...but he won't go on one of those planes...I think it's a Coast Guard thing, an FAA reg thing, and the fact that he was an aircraft engine mechanic in the CG and in his civilian former life for many years...lol...I've been working hard on him but he's not budging:-)

Cynde - tell him Divi is great!!! I'd rather fly that little tube than the turbo prop from SJU!!! From what I hear about Divi from sources "on island" they hardly ever lose parts anymore, lol!!

And honestly, I do prefer Divi to AE!!!

I talked to them (Divi Divi) on Wednesday at the Curacao airport. Very friendly, very forth coming with info, they fly ever 50 minutes during the day and it's $100 round trip. I'm actually looking forward to flying them in the future.

Cecil,

Where did you find the frogfish? Was it Something Special?

I'll check out the hawkfish tonight. I'm pretty sure I caught that same fish off Palm Beach.

Meredith, yes it was Something Special don't ask me where. We were doing an early morning drift dive from Eden Beach to Ellen's fish camp where we left a truck. Towards the end of the dive I saw a solo diver who motioned for me to follow and he lead me to that frog fish, I gave him a salute and he was off into the haze never to be seen again.

New Thread.

We were there the last two weeks, we heard there were 3 frogfish around 24 feet at Something Special but when we scoped out the site, we were just too tired to hump the gear over there....we spent the whole time looking for one, now I wish we had humped the gear!

Hello Cecil,

I am curious where the Our Confidence Wreck is? I've been to Bonaire four times and no one has mentioned it.

Thanks,
Steve

Stephen, it's right in front of the harbor entrance/Harbor Village resort. If you get in at Eden Beach go right and it's a couple hundred yards/meters. It's in 60' of water on the rubble slope.

Wait, Cecil, don't you go left? if you are standing on the beach facing the sea, it's left of Eden, if you are in the water looking at the shore, it's right:-) It's a cool wreck, lots of fish hang out on it:-)

Cynde

you are correct it is left from Eden Beach. One word of warning for divers is that if you want to cross over to Something Special the next dive site left from Our Confidence, then follow the rope at about 40 feet deep to ensure you don't enter the Marina entrance as the viz is in inches and you don't want to surface with all them props going past.

Cynde you are correct, go left from Eden Beach. Sorry blonde senior moment. On the way back from lunch, I realized the same mistake. Oh well right does sound like left, if you say it real fast, just don't go straight unless you have Walt and some trimix with you.

Hey Cecil,

I forgot to mention great pictures by the way.

We're staying at Eden Beach in April. Sounds like this wreck will fit in perfectly as a second dive when I return to Eden Beach from my post breakfast deep dive.

Oh and don't worry about the directions. I would have eventually gotten there if I went right. :-)

Thanks again,
Steve
