Today we dove at Vista Blue. We enjoyed a juvenile spotted drum dance show, it was fantastic! Wonder if those little guys ever get tired, they never seem to rest for a moment, turning, dancing, turning. And those dresses and flags..... Wish i had gills so i could stay until the end of the show.

or this:

....they're to fast for me, but as long as you make sure you have enough to choose from (buddy thought i would never stop taking pics) you might have one like this:

well i'm off, fishes are waiting :-)

Thanks Gills I took it as a compliment. We are lone voices in the wilderness of external strobes. They have no clue what they are missing and the freedom of being a diver who happens to take photographs vs. a photographer that happens to dive.

Hee Hee Cecil two free holidays in Bonaire by using an external strobe doesn't make me feel too bad.

What rocks your boat is ok with me as well. Lets dive to enjoy what we see.

All the above with tongue firmly against cheek. Brian how did you get free holidays in Bonaire with an external strobe? I do realize any money spent on external strobes goes straight to the terrorists, what do they have a frequent flyer program? Three skyjackings and the forth is free.

so you took those without an external strobe? have you ever had a problem with backscatter? i'm getting a digital setup with a housing for my next trip...i have two external strobes from other setups and was thinking of using one but if the canon does ok with its own strobe then i won't worry about it.

Hi Pat, yes i took these without an external strobe. No problems with backscatter when the water is really clear or when taking macro/close up photo's like the ones above. When the water is less clear (like now, stronger wind and more wave action) and you're not close enough to subject or taking reef scenes you will have backscatter. Also, without an external strobe the colours will not come out that good when taking reef scenes. So i always try to get close to my subject:
