A friend has a Canon A520, and Canon does have a housing for this camera.

However, I'd like to use a supplemental strobe (in an ideal world I'd like to use the strobe I use with my Nikonos).

Does anyone have this housing? Have you attached a strobe?

Thanks!

AFAIK the Canon's use a slave strobe that triggers from the internal flash. I believe Ikelite makes a slave sensor that may be able to trigger your Nikonos strobe. It would be worth looking into and you can always call Ikelite with your strobe info.

Now my standard advice holds, you might want to try the camera w/o an external strobe first. One, to get used to the camera and two, digitals do a pretty good job with just the internal strobe.
