The Dolphins are back on Bonaire, loads of divers have been spotting dolphins for the last 3 weeks, and even underwater encounters.

Thanks Hendrik. I should have gone to Bonaire for my birthday! Had a good time in the BVI. Hope the dolphins are still there in Sept. Sometimes we see them.

I'll be coming to Bonaire in 2 weeks, anyone know if the dolphins are still around? If so, is there a "best place to see them"?

They are still around, Yesterday we saw some of them playing around the boats in front of the old sunset beach hotel for a while. I don't think there is a best place, we have seen them regularly both in the south and the north and in town, like yesterday. You just have to be lucky. The best change to find them is driving south along the coast in the morning or late afternoon, when you see them jumping drive a kilometer further, park the car, get your snorkel gear and jump in the water. Swim to the drop of. that is the place they usually swim along. look out over the water if you see them coming, so you can swim out or in a little. they usually dive under before they reach you, stick your head under water and watch them passing by. it's great!
