Well the first dives are done with the new baby (a Sony DSC-P150). The verdict is that it is much better in most respects.

The Good.
Fast On/Off
Little shutter lag
Very sharp pictures
Smaller
Better UW housing (all controls and shrouds around lens and LCD)
Much better white balance (less green tint)

The Bad
More prone to backscatter
More missed focuses (especially when dark)

When it hits the shot, it takes spectacular shots.

As always the pictures will be in the order of the trip.

Yikes! Paul Allen's boat is still there? It was there for the full 2 weeks we were on island last November, and the word around town was that he was present, diving-diving-diving! Tough life, eh?

Lovely pix, Cecil - thanks!

Thanks Susan, I really did not think that was a Tiger Grouper but it was the closest I could find. Now I know.

Hi Cecil. Awesome shot of the peacock flounder! First shot is a spotted trunkfish. (White body, Black spots.) The smooth trunkfish (Black body, white spots) is my all time favorite swimmer, and I've had them backwards a time or 2 myself. I also like the purple sponge!

Thanks Gail for the ID.

Bob you know that was my first thought also. Maybe we have another invasive species. Kibbies lose in Bonaire.

You diving Nitrox yet buddy?

Seb, thanks. I see that now, what confused me was it said area around eyes dark. That's why I called it a 2 out of Threespot Damselfish.

No nitrox yet, I have not really seen the need yet. The only time it would be useful is Bonaire. Up here, I dive a steel 72's and still have more than enough air.

This trip my bottom times were very limited, no real reason, they just worked out that way.
