Thanks Henrik,

I have been admiring your photos for some time.

Can you share with us which software you use for editing and framing your photos. I'm also curious how you manage to load such crisp photos to this site given the file size limitation. Any hints you can provide would be appreciated.

Henrik, thanks again for treating us to your fabulous work. We have enjoyed each and every one of your postings and will continue to enjoy them as long as we can use our computers and access your shots. Can't wait until you return to Bonaire again so you can go back under water and shoot some more.....without the need for glue this time, too! Ayo. Carole

Gorgeous. How DO you get 50 kb to look like that?

Henrik, you said you don't know how many more pics you can find that are "good enough" for us... heck, I'd like to see your bad ones even!!! :-)
Great work! Thanks for posting them for us mere mortals to drool over!

Thanks for the nice words.
I use PhotoShop CS to edit the pics.

Normal work flow:
(If taken in RAW format, convert to TIFF)
Crop
Adjust levels
Resize
Unsharp mask
Ad the framing and my name
'Save for web' (not 'save' or 'save as')
I check the result in the 'save for web' preview before I decide the image size to match the 50k limit.

Thanks, Henrik!

I only have photoshop LE but the save for web function is there and I'd never used it. Do you usually shoot in RAW? How many shots do you get on a memory card?

Obviously your skill and eye are the most important factors -

Again, beautiful photos!

David

Thanks Henrik for sharing your tips regarding optimizing your photos for upload to the web. I use Microsoft Digital Image Pro and will investigate whether I have similar features.

Thanks once again for sharing your beautiful pictures.

I always use RAW when I shoot in natural light, with strobe it's 50/50 RAW/JPEG. It's less work in the computer with JPEG and I'm a bit lazy...
