I'm thinking about getting my husband a camera for Christmas. He has no experience in underwater photography....so this would be his first camera. Time magazine raved about this new product. I've reviewed their web site but.....

Cecil, Brian and all other BT photographers? Any reviews?....Opinions?

I bought a SeaLife this spring & have only played with it at our local quarry. (it's digital with external flash - don't know model). I was disappointed with the quality of pictures and the battery consumption (got about 20 pics/2 AA batteries). The viz in the quarry is lousy and the wrecks which are covered with green scum, so all the pics are green. I'll be brining it to Bonaire this year for a full test.

Thanks, Tom, for the great link! Same question from a wife seeking gift for husband. Lots of info. :-)

Sue, this is a new model and from what I just read has the re-chargable battery instead of AA's. Someone indicated this as a negative.

My closest local dealer is 85 miles away and has one left (as of today) and waiting on their second order. It appears that this is a popular new model. I'd still like to hear from a BTer....

Linda, I don't know much about the SeaLife digital, just looked it up and read a little about it. I've asked "Santa" for a new underwater digital camera and housing, and this is what I'm asking for. I got some good feedback from Ellen Mueller and others...

Linda, this is the new camera that Cam brought to Bonaire and it was really nice. Great pictures. (except the ones he lost. lol)

I'm asking Santa for the very same thing. :-)
