Namthip, what a lucky Pup!! I'll trade places with him any time!

I wonder if your iguana is the same fella who cruises the neighborhood and swims at will?! LOL. We had a visitor in the pool for almost 24 hours one day. He (she?) spent most of the time under water and would come up to sun itself at the corners/edges of the pool for a while and dive back down for great lengths of time each time. He/she did not leave the pool until about 1:30 in the morning and I figure he/she moved on to another pool in the neighborhood! I likened it to the old 50's movie called "The Swimmer" with Burt Lancaster who used to "visit" the ladies with pools in their backyards during the daytime while their hubbys were at work....anyone remember that one? Hmmm

Here are some pics of our visitor from 2004....maybe it is the same fella! (This was Kaya Turkesa.) Carole

Sorry the page is so large! It's been a long time since I have posted pics.

BTW...the turtle is tile inlaid (inlayed?)into the pool...really nicely done, too. (We don't own this house, unfortunately!) Carole

I was worried when my dog tried to catch the iguana because the iguana was underwater more than 5 minutes. Later, I know that iguanas can hold their breath.

Pat...LOL!....dang "k" got in there instead of the "l"...Carole, what cool pictures! I guess the Bonaire iguanas must be related to the ones in the Galapagos! I wonder if any of the naturalists on island can help us out...Jerry L.????

also, you know it's hot on Bonaire when the iguanas hang out in the pool all day...LOL!

Thip & Denise...I was thinking the same thing. I guess his ears aren't bobbed...that's why I wasn't certain.

I just LOVE Boxer doggies!! He's a cutie, Thip! Pretty good swimmer, too, from what we can see. CArole

He loves to go into the pool whenever he gets hot. Let see him closer to make sure he is a boxer. :-)

Awwww, what a sweetheart! What is his name, Thip? I am very fond of Boxers....he looks very proud in this pic! He was definitely staring very intensely at something off in the not to far distance. He really looks like a Boxer here.

Are you far from Kaya Turkesa? Carole

Yindee was looking at the boat while I tried convincing him to jump into the pool. I don't know where is Kaya Turkesa, but we live at Sabadeco.--Thip

Yindee is Thai name. The meaning is welcome. Being an island dog, Yindee gets some attitude. In this picture, he got bite by the bees that came to drink the water in our pool.

Oh Thip, I hate to laugh at the poor thing, but that is just darned funny right there!!!

Ouch is right! Attitude can definitely get you in trouble!! Kaya Turkesa is over in Santa Barbara. Both places are wonderful.

I hope he stays away from the bees now after that incident. Ouch! Carole

Thip...ouch...poor baby! The caption should read "hey, you should see the bees!"

I didn't realize bees could "swim" until I was doing laps in a pool years ago and there were some bees "floating" on the surface, I thought they were dead...wrong! I got stung by 3 as I swam by!

We have two boxers (Oscar and Rocky, Oscar is Rocky's father) who look alot like this little guy. I love boxers! And he is just too cute :-)
Oscar catches the bumble bees flying in the air and eats them!! He has gotten stung pulling that trick.

Bruno, our friends Boxer, used to "eat" the bees that flew by...he'd catch them in his mouth and then kind of toss them around a bit, get a funny look on his face and then continue to "play"! Boxers are hyterical sometimes! Oscar and Rocky....nice names, Denise! Carole

Boxers are also known for their "gastric" issues, if you get my drift...well, you DON'T want to get the drift, if you know what I mean!! LOL. Carole

Wasn't there a movie that used that 'effect' as a running theme???

I finally remembered the story I was reminded of: it was an episode in the English TV series 'All Creatures Great and Small'.

An upscale, proper sort of country lady has a boxer with a monumental case of The Effect but is otherwise a wonderful animal. Rather hard on her what with guests and parties et al.

Herriott tries all sorts of remedies but nothing 'helps' with The Effect. He finally matches the dog up with a new owner who is happy as a clam with the dog-- seems the owner has no sense of smell at all!

It's all relative, and about pairing us up properly!! :–)

Our friends tried every "diet" in the world for their boxers but nothing helped "The "Effect"! Some of the changes actually made it worse, if you can believe that.

A dear friend of our was visiting with our other friends in North Sandy Eggy County and Bobby started rolling on the floor playing with Bruno...we warned him it would not be "wise" to do this for very long but he did not listen. Bobby "learned" the hard way of The Effect! It was hilarious!! Carole
