great pictures, I saw a bright orange frog fish like that on a night snorkel under town pier last October.... I got a kick out of reading your profile - you live on Bonaire but your saying is "don't eat yellow snow" how funny is that !! I like the octopus picture too :-) thanks for sharing,

Denise

I like that in the first red frog fish picture the critter appears to have had a french manicure.

Thanks for the compliments, I keep trying to get to know my camera better and improve the pics. For the red one, my buddy was shining a light on it to support the focussing of the camera, and it does give better results. Even though we were only about 30-35 feet deep, daylight is not enough (canon problem?)
Mary, we saw it near the harbour, bit to the south.
Denise, great you found one the same colour while snorkeling, I think it's even harder to find one there with the abundance of sponges growing there! About the snow: I have lived on bonaire for 2 years now, but I have not yet forgotten the snow (and I sure do NOT miss it!!)
Fredster, that's what I call a GREAT picture! Wow, how long have you been waiting there for him to open his mouth?? You make me jealous!

And these are the last colours I have:

Pink:
pink

a little dull:
grey

and the last one in my collection:
yellow

for more you'll have to wait for the next SAD, at least for mine, maybe you have another one?

I think there is a frog fish in Bonaire which is white. I didn't see it, though.

If you are looking for a frogfish, where do you look? What do they hang out in?

Thanks again for some of the best photos we have seen on this site...the " in your face " photos are fun...and the close-up shots really help to study the colors, textures, scales of the fish...keep the photos coming please
