Lousy picture but I had to include it. This guy was in a coral cave that I stuck the camera in, to get the shot. I never realized there are warm water lobsters with claws, shocked.

Where did you see the lobster?

Any ID on the people @ Gibi's?

The lobster is easy, it was under the zodiac boat in 20' of water right in front of Wanna Dive at Eden's Rubble. It was only there one day and gone the next. I did see another one by the harbour entrance at night.

Gibi's from left to right.

Sue, ?, ?, Seb, Mary, ?, ?, Lisa, Renee. Yes, I'm lousy with names.

Does Renee, The one that takes you out snorkling, would she be in the picture that was taken at Gibi's?? If so, which one is she?? I was just curious. I an signed up with her in Feb. Man that seems a long way off. I guess it will be here before you know it. Is Gibi's a must when we are there on Tuesday night? We aren't the party type people. We don't drink or smoke. Just didn't know if it would be a place for us to go. We will only be on Bonaire for 7 nights. Any help would be great!! Kent

Kent what Cheryl said that is Renee on the right. You should go to Gibi's it was a great fun diner, drinking and smoking not required. Gibi has some great local and standard food.

Here's tonight's shots. The first set is from Eden's Rubble then on to Calabasas (Divi's) Reef.

Great pictures as always!

The lady to the right of Mary, I know her! She is from Virginia but her name escapes me right now. That's her son beside her, right? When I met her last July, I met her husband also, and another son. Very, very nice folks.

Cecil, great pictures...hopefully we can share some of our October pics with you...it will be hard for you to look at them...the only reason I can sanely look at these is because it's just 5 more weeks for me...tee hee...even Michael was saying last night, 5 more weeks to Bonaire (don't know if it is because he will MISS me, or will be glad to be RID of me for a couple weeks)...LOL!

Cecil

I really like the Peacock flounder and OMG the Rum Runners Japenese style Panko Shrimp with Wasabi over looking the ocean with one you love.

Good job it's just over two weeks till we get there, else we would have had the PBD really severe. Really glad that you both had a blast. Remember Coral Spawning 2006 - hope you two can make it.

Cecil,

Just looked at this thread this morning. The white-spotted orange lobster is a Flaming Reef Lobster (Enoplometopus antillensis for science). There is an entry on them in later editions of Ned DeLoach's reef animal book. They have been identified over the tropical Atlantic from Panama to west Africa and from Bermuda south to St. Helena. Fairly common but very shy and cryptic: one night, Jerry Ligon and I saw 11 in about a 50 foot square location on Bonaire (most seen by Jerry!! He sees better than I do!). I have seen one back into it's hole when I pointed a MightyLite at it from 15 feet away. They have completely ignored a deep red light, even a 4-C-cell 'landing light'; all night life does-- a great way to get close to crustacea and fish.
